Alexandra Beason
Soprano

Alexandra Beason is a recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and studies with Mary Nelson.
Recently Alexandra won first place in the Edith Poulsen prize at the North London Music Festival. She is the Yorkshire music future fund second prize winner at the Aldborough New Voices competition and also competed in the final of the Maureen Lehane vocal awards at Wigmore hall in June 2023.
Last summer, Alexandra made her international debut at the Encuentro de Música festival in Santander, Spain. She was a Young Artist performing around Spain in venues including the Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria and had the opportunity to work with esteemed mezzo-soprano Bernarda Fink.
In 2021, Alexandra made her debut at Opera Holland Park performing the roles of Gretel and the Dew Fairy in Hänsel und Gretel for Silent Opera and British Youth Opera. She sang the solos in Vaughan William’s Serenade to Music with Southbank Sinfonia, conducted by Dame Jane Glover at St John’s Smith Square.
Upcoming events include a CD release for Linn Records, a disc of Stravinsky chamber music for high voice and orchestra conducted by Barbara Hannigan. Alexandra will be making her orchestral debut with the Cinematic Orchestra of London later in the year.
Daniel Silcock
Pianist
Originally from Scotland, Daniel Peter Silcock is a pianist particularly distinguished as a song accompanist. Currently based in London, Daniel is a scholarship student at the Royal Academy of Music, specializing in ensemble piano with Joseph Middleton.
Daniel is delighted to be a collaborating with Edmond Rodriguez as part of Renée Fleming's SongStudio in January 2024 at Carnegie Hall. Daniel is a Samling Institute Young Artist. He accompanied Annabel Kennedy (Mezzo-Soprano) at the Royal Over-Seas League Gold Medal Final held at London’s Wigmore Hall, after winning the vocal section of the competition in February 2023.Together with Charles Cunliffe (Bass-Baritone), Daniel was awarded the Franz Schubert Institute UK prize as a Leeds Lieder Young Artist in 2023, leading to recitals and masterclasses on Winterreise with Roger Vignoles at Conway Hall. He has won major prizes at the Royal Academy of Music, including Major Van Someren-Godfrey prize for song accompaniment.
Recent seasons have seen Daniel performing around the country’s top music centres: at Wigmore Hall, Edinburgh’s Usher Hall, and Caird Hall in Dundee; as well as part of international music festivals: Music at Paxton, the Petworth Festival, and the Zeist International Lied Festival in the Netherlands. Daniel accompanied the first recital given by the prestigious Academy Song Circle at the Institut Français UK in Chelsea, as well as concerts at the Italian Cultural Forum and Regent Hall.
In 2023-24, Daniel is looking forward to returning to Wigmore Hall with the Royal Academy of Music Song Circle. Other projects include a recital of his own arrangements of sea-inspired works for voice and piano quintet at the Academy, and masterclasses with Felicity Lott and Hartmut Höll.
Daniel‘s studies have been generously supported by Dewar Arts Awards and Help Musicians UK; he was also delighted to be awarded the Philip Ledger award by the Caird Trust for 2023-24.
